Thanks! and Updates

QSA Update before the Winter Break

Meetings will resume once we return for class, on January 15. Yes I know that classes don’t start until Thursday the 18th, but we will meet about an hour early at 6:00 so that we can spend time planning for the semester. Chart out goals, dates, events, programming, and how the group will be structured from here out. This meeting will form the basis of the group steering committee — anyone is welcome to join and provide feedback, without it the group wouldn’t have your interests in mind!

FURY Thanks and Gratitude

To all who gave of their time, selves, and energy to make Fury (December 9 at the Zebra Cocktail Lounge) a success, QSA (and myself) extends a gesture of thanks! (continues after the jump)

  • Tim Adams, for DJing, advice, support of the group, set-up, and starting the avalanche
  • Brett Cline, for allowing us to use his space without hesitation, and his support of the group
  • Billy McWilliams at Ms. Kitty’s, for his constant support of the group, donation of door prizes
  • Bethany Letiecq, for being the constant backbone for the group, an amazing adviser (and human being), door manning, promotion, support, advice, etc.

  • Ryan Heimbuch, for help with set-up, support, and door manning/coat check
  • Gannon Hester, for contributing a DJ mix to the night, his CD, and advice
  • Ricardo, for help with set-up, door manning, advice, and support

  • Michael, for help with coat check, support, and door manning
  • Milo Lyon, for help with door manning

  • Reggie, who volunteered his time in the stuffed coat check so that Natascha could get on the dance floor
  • For everyone who helped get the word out, telling friends, your word of mouth helps make these safe space events a success
  • For everyone that came to the dance, all 225 of you, you are important to QSA, and your donation will help build the infrastructure for the most actively vocal group on campus.
  • To anyone I overlooked, your help was not forgotten!
